Dan Gable International Wrestling
Institute and Museum hosts a
number of events each year to
promote the sport of wrestling
as well as the impact of the
museum on the sport. Each event
was started and is maintained by
the museum.

Hall of Fame Inductions
June 27-28, 2008 A
star from Japan, one
from New Zealand and an
American WWF legend are
the headliners for the
George Tragos/Lou Thesz
Professional Wrestling
Hall of Fame, Class of
2008. In addition, Penny
Banner, one of the
finest women wrestlers
in history, will receive
the Frank Gotch Award
for bringing positive
recognition to the sport
outside the ring. |
Glen Brand Iowa Hall of
Fame Inductions
April
18-19, 2008 Six
new legends of wrestling
will enter the Glen
Brand Wrestling Hall of
Fame on April 19, 2008.
It will be the seventh
class to go into the
hall, which is named for
former Iowa State star
Glen Brand, 1948 Olympic
champion. |

night. The broadcast can be heard live from 6-7 p.m. Central Standard
Time. The Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Museum in
Waterloo, Iowa, hosts the show.
